Lazy portfolios have become a popular term these days. Often however they are not lazy they are really just no decision portfolios. You may check out the status over 1, 3, and 5 years of some of these “Lazy Portfolios” HERE!
Many investors fail for the simple reason that the buying decision is
relatively easy however the selling decision is not. Therefore investments are held ad infinitum riding
the markets up and down. If you refuse to make decisions then this new section
will obviously not be for you!
Wouldn’t
it be preferable if you were diversified amongst 3 or 4 asset classes and move
in and out of each asset class when it is determined they may have turned by a pre-defined back tested method? While in all or part cash that money is then
put in a fixed income vehicle until a signal for reentry is reached.
The
PrudentTrader.com is currently in the process of a vast research project to
provide just that utilizing Exchange Traded Funds in lieu of individual stock
selection. The research will combine
methodologies of moving in and out of each with a relatively long holding
period involved. The best vehicles in
terms of diversification and trade ability are being researched as well.
This
project has been in the works for over a year already, however and with a great
deal of hope the project will be completed sometime in the first quarter of
2009 with all the research included for your review.
This will
also be FREE to current members at the time of the launch. It is possible that separate membership may
be required and limited due to possible adverse affects on the vehicles being
used. |
