International Index Absolute and Relative Performance

We’re in a global marketplace and the financial press would have you believe our markets rise and fall based on what happened elsewhere.  Be that as it may it’s always a good idea to see what is performing and what is not, both on an absolute and a relative basis.  The relative strength shown is a rank of 150 Indexes the PrudentTrader follows and is calculated over a six month period. Also shown are the rank two weeks ago and one month ago.

Weakness abounds overseas this morning: Nikkei 225 -0.54%, Hang Seng -1.83%, Shanghai -0.27%, DAX -2.14%, and the FTSE 100 -2.07%

At about 7:50 AM ET ahead of the CPI and later the FED minutes the futures are following Europe and Asia lower: Dow -77, S&P -10.5, NAZ -10.4, Oil -$1.06 and Gold -$8.80
