ETF Range Projections & A Quote to Start the Day

With the exception of the Nikkei oveseas mareket are lower this morning: Nikkei 225 +1.40%, Hang Seng -0.85%, Shanghai -0.63%, DAX -0.33%, and the FTSE -0.49%

At about 7:20AM ET, are pointing to little changed openings: Dow +10, S&P +1, NAZ +3, Oil -$0.11 and Gold -$11.20

Priced in Gold

Back on October 12 I ran a post ‘The S&P Priced In‘.  The article showed charts of the S&P 500 if it were priced in U.S. Dollars, Eurodollars, Japanese Yen, and Canadian dollars. I thought the pictures related well the roll of currencies for our investing dollars. Different pictures depending upon the Currency used.

How about Gold. I’ll let the pundits debate whether gold is trading as an inflation hedge or as a currency.  Indexes and ETFs priced in Gold instead of Dollars:
