Asian and European markets are ending the week on a sour note: Nikkei 225 -0.69%, Hang Seng -0.58%, Shanghai -0.26%, DAX -1.06% and the FTSE -0.97%.

At about 7:30 AM ET, ahead of the G.D.P. and with more worry about the debt the futures are indicating a lower open at this time: DOW -52, S&P -5, NAZ -6, Oil -$0.70 and Gold +$0.30

In Search of Yield (Large Cap Dividends)

Seems these days everyone is in search if yield. Government Bonds, Junk Bonds, Corporate Bonds.  How about dividends?

Government Bond yields from Bloomberg:

Current dividend yields of S&P 500 component stocks that are 3.5% or greater in descending order.

This is not a comment on the safety of the dividends.  As always your due diligence is required.
