Watch List Strategy
The purpose of this site, from the very beginning, has been to help the investor/trader toward his/her goals. After 40 plus years in and around the markets, I can, with confidence, say that you must learn how to make decisions for yourself. Others such as the PrudentTrader can offer you ideas, the decision however is yours alone.
Remember, in this authors humble opinion trading the markets is about managing money and assessing risk, it is not about being right or wrong at any given time. The concern about being right or wrong is the failing of many a trader.
That being said most of you will trade either equities or their derivatives, Exchange Traded or Mutual Funds, or futures. Options are derivatives. Of course you will not bet on a derivative with out first liking the underlying security. Of course it is one thing to understand the “how to” of gathering the information and putting the list together and quite another knowing when to move on said security or derivative.
