International Performance – Three Time Frames
Today let’s look at a myriad of indexes from around the world. The chart below shows three time periods, from the October ’07 high, the November ’08 low and year-to-date performance. The red portion of the bars is the change from October ’07, green portion from the November lows and the yellow is year-to-date.

The strongest performance, i.e. the least percentage decline from the October ’07 low was the Sao Paulo Bovespa Index. This index also had the strongest bounce off the November low. Whereas the worst performers since the peak; All Ordinaries (Australia), Europe top 100, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, Japan, and Taiwan have all for the most part have had the weakest bounces off the November low.
